Headstart Information for Prep 2026

Thank you for your commitment to attend our Headstart Program. The program will be conducted over 4 weeks which are 4 separate 90 minute weekly sessions. It is important that your child attends all 4 sessions. If for any reason your child cannot attend any of the sessions you will need to inform the school, either by contacting the office on 9308 2011 or email Cinzia Mancuso, cmancuso@olps.vic.edu.au.

On the day of your sessions please enter the school via the Bridgewater Road entrance and our staff will direct you to our Headstart classroom. In keeping with our duty of care expectations, we require you to inform the Headstart staff if your child has any medical condition that they need to be aware of. Your child does not need to bring anything on these days, such as drink bottles or food.

While your child is attending the Head Start Program we encourage all parents to attend our Parent Information Sessions in our community hub. This is a great opportunity to meet other families and staff of Our Lady’s school community. The sessions will allow you to further support your child into transition to school as well as learning more about our school.

Your child will be receiving our school library bag so that your they can begin to borrow books from our school library each week during the program. They will also be provided with a Headstart T/shirt to wear each week.

Meet your teacher for 2026, will be on Wednesday 26th November, 9:00-10:30 am. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher for 2026 and visit the classroom. Additional information regarding the meet your teacher day will be provided at the conclusion of the Headstart Program.
